San Antonio lawmakers outraise opponents in campaign cash (blog)

Smith, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, raised $705,142 between Jan. 1 of this year to June 30, which was the deadline for the last filing period with the Federal Election Commission. Smith, who does not have an announced challenger at this point, had $1.2 million in cash on hand and no outstanding debts for his campaign in the 21st District.
