“Whether it’s fundraising or communication or grassroots, organization is the key.”
Kyle Jackson is the Director of State and Federal Relations for Lilly & Company.
In addition to the planning and execution of fundraising events, Kyle also acts as a liaison between clients’ campaigns and the Texas Ethics Commission and Federal Election Commission to help streamline financial reporting procedures.
Kyle began working at Lilly & Company as an Account Manager in 2007. He initially began assisting clients with scheduling, serving as a travel aide, managing databases, and establishing contact with hosts for fundraising events. During this process, he acquired extensive knowledge of both state and federal campaign fundraising regulations. Kyle began his career working in the Texas State Capitol in 2005 as a Senate Messenger during the 79th legislative session, while taking classes at the University of Texas. He had the opportunity to work with nearly every State Senator on various projects and as an aide on the Senate floor. During the 80th legislative session Kyle worked for State Representative Kelly Hancock as a legislative intern where he gained much insight into the legislative process by assisting with bill research and preparation. Kyle also learned the value of being organized, having an attention to detail and being able to handle a multitude of tasks at once. He returned to Representative Hancock’s office to serve as Legislative Director for the 81st legislative session.
Kyle graduated from the University of Texas in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and minor in Business Administration.
